Three Pats Named to Sunbelt Showcase Watchlist

MARIETTA - Three members of the Marietta Patriots were named to the watch list for the Sunbelt League's 2019 Southeast Collegiate Prospect Showcase Roster, selected by the Sunbelt League Office and Scouting Department and announced Sunday evening.

Payton Eeles was the lone Pats position player named to the watch list. The rising sophomore infielder from Cedarville University is currently batting .333 with four RBI, three walks, and four stolen bases. Eeles also recorded at least one hit in seven straight games from June 11 through June 20.

A left-handed pitcher from Kennesaw State, Nate Dupree has started a team-high four games for the Patriots and pitched 16.1 innings. The rising senior currently sports an ERA of 3.86 and is tied with teammate Ryan Suppa for fifth in the league with 18 strikeouts.

An incoming freshman at the University of Georgia, Ryan Suppa has made a team-high six appearances with three starts. The right-handed pitcher is currently has a 3.78 ERA and is tied with teammate Nate Dupree for fifth in the league with 18 strikeouts.

The Sunbelt League will announce it's final roster for the 2019 Prospect Showcase next week.
